Mowbray Public School P&C runs a dynamic assortment of events to entertain our diverse school community. Mowbray events keep our community connected and are often valuable opportunities to fundraise for the school.
The P&C Event Calendar is an annual list of P&C events and activities, including:
Look out for dates and details in the school newsletter or Mowbray Families and Friends Facebook group.
The annual Mowbray Welcome BBQ is a FREE sausage sizzle held on a Friday afternoon during Term 1 to welcome new families, reacquaint with old and have some fun. This event is an opportunity to meet with our two Out Of School Hours (OOSH) Care providers and discover some of the extra-curricular services available on site or nearby e.g. karate, sport, dance, languages etc.
The Welcome BBQ is free to attend for all Mowbray families.
At Mowbray we celebrate our parents and carers with a Parents and Carers Morning Tea (May) before school. Light food, barista coffee, kids activities and a photo booth add up to fun for everyone!
Parenting Days are free to attend for all Mowbray families.
Every year, Mowbray Public School P&C organises a social, fundraising event for our adult community members – a fun way to meet other Parents/Carers and raise some money for the school.
Adult Fundraising events are strictly for adults only.
Mowbray Public School P&C organises one fundraising event each year during school hours just for our kids! This is usually a Colour Explosion fun run where we raise money for the school.
Mowbray students participate in the Kids Fundraising event, but we welcome parent volunteers and spectators.
Mowbray Public School is an election voting centre. The Mowbray P&C runs BBQs and homemade cake stalls at most Local, State and Federal Elections. BBQs and cake stalls are a great fundraiser for our school. Come by and taste our snags, often judged best Democracy Sausages!
The wider Lane Cove and Willoughby community come to vote but we welcome parent volunteers.
Mowbray Carols is an annual tradition at Mowbray Public School, for Mowbray kids, staff and families. This event takes place around the first Saturday of December – often with a special visit from Santa! Sing along to our Mowbray Music ensemble and Children’s Choir.
Mowbray Carols is free to attend for all Mowbray families and community members.
Celebrate Mowbray is special occasion event to celebrate a milestone for the school. The last Celebrate Mowbray was held in 2022, celebrating the 75th anniversary of Mowbray Public School. The event is an afternoon of rides for the kids, food trucks, snacks and drinks as well as stalls, activities and entertainment. We finish the evening with a real live fireworks display!
Celebrate Mowbray is free to attend for all Mowbray families and the wider community.
